Proposed on-street charge points in Grove Road

Consultation on proposed 4 new Charge Points in Ashtead

This location and other proposed sites in Surrey (two others in Dorking) will be communicated to local residents on 7th April 2025 (see example pdf below), and feedback will be invited through a Surrey Says survey or by telephone to the SCC customer helpline. The consultation will be open for 28 days.

It is not currently proposed to implement any TRO (Traffic Regulation Order) in association with these installations, and therefore the bays will remain available to all. This is to alleviate residents’ concerns about loss of parking. If at a later date, it was proposed to restrict the use of these bays to Electric Vehicles only, it would have to be done through the usual TRO review process, that would include a new consultation.

Lastly, MVDC's EV Charge Point Delivery team  expect many more locations to follow, either fully funded by Connected Kerb (as the above is), and some partially funded through the Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure fund if the Council are successful in their application. As and when further locations are ready to be progressed in the area we will publish details here.
