Six playgrounds in the north and south of Mole Valley will be the subject of work commissioned by Mole Valley District Council (MVDC) which will see the removal and replacement of outdated and tired equipment with newer alternatives, including resurfacing, new swings and a zip line. Improvements will be made in the following locations:
Ashtead - Ashtead Recreation Ground
Bookham – Chrystie Recreation Ground
Brockham – Brockham Recreation Ground
Holmwood – King George V Recreation Ground
Leatherhead – Kingston Road Recreation Ground and Redhouse Grounds playground
Meadowbank Park’s playground will boast a refurbished sandpit and fort, in addition to new plants adding vibrancy and colour upon the conclusion of work, which started at the beginning of July. The remaining play equipment has been available to be enjoyed during the works to ensure disruption is kept to a minimum. This will also be the case when attention turns to the six other playgrounds.
MVDC will publicise when the work will start at each playground and for how long via its social media channels, the parks and playgrounds section on its website and signage at the respective locations.
