Walk For Health Scheme on the Right Path

Walk denbies

Mole Valley District Council’s free Walk for Health scheme has proved a real hit with residents of all ages since its introduction. A new programme of exciting walks is now available and the routes will be accessible regardless of fitness levels.

Councillor Lucy Botting, Executive Member for Wellbeing, said: “Walking is a gentle and accessible form of exercise that offers excellent health benefits to anyone wishing to become more active. We are fortunate to live in an Ar

ea of Outstanding Natural Beauty and this scheme is a great way to meet new people and experience more of the spectacular scenery the district has to offer.”

The walks have already successfully encouraged local residents to become more active and explore our beautiful district. For information on the present schedule of walks see Brochure.

The different routes take advantage of both familiar local walks and other less well-trodden paths. The routes vary from 30 min

ute strolls, to longer 60-90 minute walks. To view the new walking timetable, detailing the various starting points and lengths of the walks, please visit www.molevalley.gov.uk/walkforhealth.
