Friday 19 January 2018 - Richard Hughes will talk about the popular writer, columnist and garden restorer Beverley Nichols - Ashtead’s Forgotten Celebrity. 8pm @ The Letherhead Institute, High Street, Leatherhead. Coffee at 7.30pm. Entrance £2. Non-members welcome.

Friday 2nd February 2018 - The Ashtead Branch of the RNLI are holding a Quiz Night at Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall. Doors will open at 6.45 pm for a prompt start at 7.30 pm. The cost of a ticket is £12 which includes light refreshments. Alcoholic drinks have to be purchased at the bar. You can bring your own soft drinks. We ask for teams of 8 people. Sunday 2 September 2018 - Put this in your diary now! - Leatherhead celebrates c.100, marking the centenary of the end of the First World War. A community legacy festival bringing together All generations in celebration of peace. To be held at the Fusion Leatherhead Sports Field LLC, Guildford Road, Fetcham, Leatherhead, KT22 9BL. We are looking for local musicians and performance Groups to help us in this celebration - to also promote their talents and skills to a large audience. We are also looking for individuals or companies with skills and/or resources to help us stage a spectacular event....if you think you can help? - you can!

REGULAR EVENTS

 Ashtead Choral Society's rehearsals take place at the APMH every Monday night between September and June from 8-10pm. This includes a coffee/tea break and a chance to mingle. 1st Saturday of every month - Ashtead Independent Councillors operate a drop-in session at the Scout Hut in Woodfield. Sessions commence at 12 noon.

On the last Tuesday of every month, the Police hold a surgery for local residents in Ashtead at St George's Centre, Barnett Wood Lane from 10am until 11am.

Thursday weekly at the APMH - Ashtead Over 60's Lunch Club meets in the Ralli Room for a freshly prepared lunch. Doors open at 10.30 for tea and biscuits. Lunch is served at 12.30 and consists of a piping hot main course and hot or cold pudding with custard (or ice cream ) if you like it. A cup of tea is then served for those who wish to sit around and chat for a little longer.

Friday weekly at the APMH - Morning coffee and scones served in the Ralli Room.

1st Friday of each month - Soup lunch held at St Michael's Church Hall, the Marld, Ashtead. Homemade soup, bread and pudding served with tea & coffee between 12 noon and 1.30pm, all for £5 in aid of Pricess Alice Hospice, CAFOD and BESOM.

2nd Friday of each month - Village Market, Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall, Woodfield Lane, KT21 2BE. 9.00am to 12.30pm except Christmas special in November which is 9am to 3pm. No market in August.
January 12th; February 9th; March 9th; April 13th; May 11th; June 8th; July 13th; September 14th; October 12th; November 9th (9 - 3pm); December 7th.

1st Friday quarterly starting 1st March 2018. The Friends of the Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall will be holding their usual quarterly dinners at the Hall. As usual the timing will be 6.30 for 7.00 p.m. at a cost of £22 for each three course dinner. This will, in each case, be followed by an entertainment, the details of which will be advised nearer each date.
