Saturday 15th September 2018 - Mole Valley Arts Alive Festival. The festival runs throughout October, although the first event is the Creative Celebration Day on 15th September in the Swan Centre, Leatherhead. Here you can hear music from talented local stars of the future, watch street performers, and have your face painted. The day is designed to promote the beginning of the festival and encourage ticket sales for the 100+ events planned as part of the festival. The link to the magazine/brochure is as follows:-

Monday 17th September 2018 - Robert Rennie will talk to Ashtead Probus on Rob Walker: Dorking's Motor Racing Legend at its regular monthly luncheon. Whisky heir, owner of his first car at the age of 10, civil and wartime aviator, but above all a motor racing fanatic, Walker is best known as the only private owner of a Formula 1 racing team - with Stirling Moss as one of his drivers! Prospective members welcome. The event starts at 12.30 at Tyrrells Wood Golf Club, finishing at around 3.15pm. Cost per person is £23 to include a 3-course lunch and the talk. Sunday 30th September 2018 - River Mole Discovery Day. 12pm to 4pm on the bank of the River Mole behind the Football Club. See map on poster. Many stands, including one from our own Ashtead Rye Meadows Wetland where you can buy notelets.

Friday 12th October 2018 - The Friends of the Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall will be holding their usual quarterly dinners at the Hall. As usual the timing will be 6.30 for 7.00 p.m. at a cost of £22 for each three course dinner. This will, in each case, be followed by an entertainment, the details of which will be advised nearer each date.

REGULAR EVENTS

 Ashtead Choral Society's rehearsals take place at the APMH every Monday night between September and June from 8-10pm. This includes a coffee/tea break and a chance to mingle. 1st Saturday of every month - Ashtead Independent Councillors operate a drop-in session at the Scout Hut in Woodfield. Sessions commence at 12 noon.

3rd Monday of every month - The Probus Club of Ashtead is the local club for retired or semi-retired rofessional and business men looking for a good lunch, interesting talks and congenial company. We also arrange ad hoc pub lunches, visits and informal walks. New members are always welcome. We meet regulalrly at Tyrells Wood Golf Club. Upcoming and recent talks are listed on our website. On the last Tuesday of every month, the Police hold a surgery for local residents in Ashtead at St George's Centre, Barnett Wood Lane from 10am until 11am.

Thursday weekly at the APMH - Ashtead Over 60's Lunch Club meets in the Ralli Room for a freshly prepared lunch. Doors open at 10.30 for tea and biscuits. Lunch is served at 12.30 and consists of a piping hot main course and hot or cold pudding with custard (or ice cream ) if you like it. A cup of tea is then served for those who wish to sit around and chat for a little longer.

1st Friday of each month - Soup lunch held at St Michael's Church Hall, the Marld, Ashtead. Homemade soup, bread and pudding served with tea & coffee between 12 noon and 1.30pm, all for £5 in aid of Pricess Alice Hospice, CAFOD and BESOM.

2nd Friday of each month - Village Market, Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall, Woodfield Lane, KT21 2BE. 9.00am to 12.30pm except Christmas special in November which is 9am to 3pm. No market in August.
January 12th; February 9th; March 9th; April 13th; May 11th; June 8th; July 13th; September 14th; October 12th; November 9th (9 - 3pm); December 7th. Gifts,plants,cards,craftedgoods,clothes,cakes,books,haberdashery,jewellery, collectables and much more.
